Esta mañana entré en mi cuenta de Twitter y he notado algo extraño.  ¡Mi número de followers había pasado de 5500 a 0 de forma inmediata en una actualización! Un hombre turco accidentalmente descubrió un fallo en Twitter cuando escribió sobre su grupo musical favorito, “Accept”.  Al incluir en su tweet “accept pwnz”, fue capaz de aprovechar un fallo en el sitio web de Twitter que permitía forzar a otras cuentas de Twitter para seguirle automáticamente. Twitter descubrió el fallo en cuanto fué avisado y reinició temporalmente elnúmero de followers de todos los usuarios a cero mientras trabajaban en el arreglo. Muchos usuarios de Twitter comenzaron a hablar sobre este tema y muchos famosos también comentaron sobre el problema.

Stephen Collins (7th Heaven): According 2 Twitter they’ve fixed a bug/hack that re-set following/follower #s to 0. Scary. So far, my acct isn’t re-set. Holding breath.

El fallo fue descubierto por vez primera en una web turca, que intenté traducir (¿algún seguidor turco puede enviarnos una traducción mejor?) con Google Translate:
