Issue Status |
Symptoms
With MacOS protection version 3.04 and later, on 10 Gigabit Ethernet networks, throughput drops to 90-100 megabytes per second, instead of the expected around 1,000 Megabytes per second. This is more noticeable when copying large files from fast NAS drives with SSDs.
There are no performance issues on macOS devices with WiFi or regular 1 Gigabit Ethernet connections.
Solution
There is no workaround available since this is a limitation in Apple's interception technology.
